We encourage residents to trade and recycle goods here, rather than leaving them in the lift foyer and bin areas or outside in the street , which creates obstruction and hazard, not to mention the cost and inconvenience to HCA and City of Melbourne of removing them thus diverting funds for more useful expenditure. Besides it is just not a good look for the place!
For clothing, shoes etc: again it is often a wasted exercise to leave them in the foyer – the cleaners just put them in the rubbish!
There is an Australian Red Cross store, which will take these goods. Just go straight up Therry Street past the Market and turn right into Queen Street.
The Red Cross shop is a few shops along Queens street about 50 m down towards the city.
